Privacy Policy

Effective May 19, 2026. This policy explains how Equitrip handles information for its US-focused horse-hauling trip planning and facility directory service.

Usage

Equitrip is built for customers in the United States who plan horse-hauling trips, manage trip documents, review weather and compliance context, use facility and large-animal-vet directory tools, submit facility information, or manage a claimed facility listing.

The service is not designed or marketed for non-US customers. People outside the United States may still be able to visit or log in. If you use Equitrip from outside the United States, you understand that the service, support, legal notices, and operational assumptions are US-focused and that your information may be processed in the United States or by US-based service providers.

Equitrip is intended for adults and is not directed to children.

User Information Handling

Equitrip keeps user information only for product, support, security, billing, compliance, facility-review, and operational purposes. Access to user-data tables is controlled through Supabase authentication and Row Level Security where user data is stored.

We do not store raw card numbers or full payment credentials in Equitrip application tables. Stripe processes payment details on Stripe-hosted checkout and billing pages, and Equitrip stores only the identifiers and subscription status needed to provide access and support billing workflows.

Uploaded documents, trip records, horse profiles, vehicle profiles, account settings, privacy choices, facility claims, and business profile details are handled as account data and are not treated as public directory data unless you intentionally submit information for public facility-listing review or display.

Collection Of Information

We collect information you provide directly, including email address, authentication details, trip origins and destinations, trip stops, saved facility assignments, horse and vehicle profile details, uploaded document metadata and files, privacy preferences, support messages, facility submissions, facility-claim details, and business profile information.

We collect information generated while the service runs, including session state, security logs, route and facility-search requests, account-access checks, billing status, sanitized Stripe webhook audit records, aggregate product analytics, and anonymous corridor aggregate counts (origin state, destination state, travel month, bucketed horse count; no user ID or exact date).

We may receive limited operational data from service providers that help run Equitrip, including Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, Mapbox, Stadia Maps, and Open-Meteo. The exact data depends on which features you use.

Use Of Information

We use information to create and secure your account, run the trip planner, save trips and stops, show facility and medical directory results, provide routing, weather, compliance, document, billing, support, and facility-owner workflows, and maintain service reliability.

We use facility submissions, source URLs, claim records, correction requests, and review notes to improve directory quality, prevent duplicate or inaccurate listings, handle owner access, and respond to removal or correction requests.

We use aggregate analytics and performance data to understand whether pages and features work, identify reliability issues, measure facility interest at a privacy-preserving level, and improve the product. Facility interest metrics are stored as daily aggregate counters and are not tied to visitor identity or exact routes.

We use anonymous corridor aggregate counts (state-pair + travel month + bucketed horse count) for internal routing analytics, equine movement research, and potential aggregate reporting to animal health authorities. No individual trip record or user identifier is included in any external report or disclosure.

Disclosure Of Information

We disclose information to service providers only as needed to run Equitrip, including hosting, database, authentication, storage, payment processing, routing, mapping, weather, email or support, security, diagnostics, and analytics services.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect Equitrip or other users, to investigate abuse or security issues, to complete a business transfer, or with your direction or consent.

We may share anonymous corridor aggregate counts (state-pair totals, travel month totals, bucketed horse counts) with animal health authorities, equine research partners, or routing analytics providers. These disclosures contain no user IDs, trip IDs, exact dates, names, locations, or any information that identifies an individual trip or user.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Marketing pixels, ad retargeting, session replay, and cross-site tracking are not used in the current product.

Use Of Tracking Technologies

Equitrip uses essential first-party cookies and similar storage for authentication, secure sessions, admin/public view-mode state, active-trip continuity, local preferences, and privacy choices.

Equitrip uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights for aggregate page and performance measurement. Equitrip does not use Vercel custom events for facility stats, and facility interest metrics are stored as first-party aggregate counters.

Stripe may use cookies or similar technologies on Stripe-hosted checkout and billing portal pages. Equitrip does not control those processor-managed pages, but uses them so payment information is handled by Stripe instead of stored in Equitrip tables.

No marketing cookies are enabled. Any future marketing or advertising tracking would require updated disclosures, consent controls where required, a vendor review, opt-out handling, and a Do Not Sell or Share evaluation before activation.

User Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of certain information, a copy of information you provided, restriction or objection to certain processing, and information about how your data is used or disclosed.

US state privacy laws may provide additional rights, including California rights to know, delete, correct, limit certain sensitive-information use, opt out of sale or sharing, and avoid discrimination for exercising privacy rights. Equitrip does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

You can request privacy help, deletion, correction, facility-listing correction or removal, or billing-support review by contacting Support@equitrip.net. We may need to verify your identity or account authority before acting on a request, and some records may be retained when needed for security, legal, billing, fraud-prevention, audit, or legitimate operational reasons.

You may disable local aggregate facility metric calls and corridor aggregate data counting where the app provides those controls. Opt-out preferences should not create a new cross-site tracking identifier.
